This sizing chart provides a correlation between digit circumference measured with a tape measure at the PIP joint level and comfortable fit for individuals donning a KnuckleUp™/ThumbUp™. For the same circumference digit, there is overlap in what is the most comfortable sized orthosis based on digit length and taper. Use this only as a general guide when placing clinic orders, however, for individual patients, confirm size before ordering using the KnuckleUp™/ThumbUp™ Digit Sizer Set. As a soft,neoprene-based medical orthosis that contacts skin and can absorb perspiration and skin oils, the KnuckleUp™/ThumbUp™ are not exchangeable for larger/smaller sizes.

The evolution of dynamic extension orthoses over 80 years. The PIPro represents the modern addition to a therapist’s options with its circumferential design for edema reduction and warmth. Removal of the raised internal sewn seam improves patient comfort over older designs and creates more uniform compression. The PIPro™ can also be end trimmed without unravelling and is effective even in contractures under 15 degrees where older tube splints lose force.
